_____Even the outlook of the panel is a clear reminiscent of "grotesque" decoration from Palais Colbert - Paris, this beautiful urn design was inspired by the Pensive Cupids Vase one of the fourteenth bronze vases which decorate the parapet between Parterre du Nord and Parterre d'Eau in the famous gardens of Versailles. Over the years, the same vase was at the base inspiration for many artists, painters as well as sculptors.
